The tenth cycle of the Alabama 9-1-1 Board Grant Program is now open and accepting applications.
The overall goal of the Grant Program is to provide financial assistance to validly formed Emergency Communication Districts (ECDs) based on demonstrated need(s) in compliance with §11-98 et seq. of the Code of Alabama 1975, as amended. The purpose is to partially fund the non-recurring costs of projects necessary to achieve or maintain continuity and enhancement of 911 assuring that every location in Alabama has equitable access to 911 service.

Joint Interim Sunset Committee Meeting
On Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. CDT, the Alabama 9-1-1 Board will appear before the Join Interim Sunset Review Committee regarding the Review of Operations performed by the Examiners of Public Accounts. This meeting will be on the 3rd Floor, Room 325 of the Alabama State House at 11 South Union Street, Montgomery, Alabama.
Request for Proposal Issued--Next Generation 9-1-1 Geographic Information System (GIS) - AL-GIS-RFP-23-001
The Alabama 9-1-1 Board is seeking proposals from qualified vendors of Next Generation 9-1-1 GIS services whose proposed solution(s) and services meet the requirements specified in this RFP. The expectation is that the vendor will supply a GIS services solution to the State of Alabama or any geographical area within. This GIS services solution must seamlessly function within the existing NG9-1-1 services platform, the Alabama Next Generation Emergency Network (ANGEN).

Fourth Annual Training Report to the Legislature
Each year, the Board is required to submit a training report to Alabama's legislative leadership. During the past year, we have provided 230 hours of in-person instruction and 7,579 virtual CEUs. You can download the report provided to the legislature below.
