Joby Smith is the Director of Baldwin County 9-1-1. He first found his passion for Public Safety as a firefighter with the Magnolia Springs Volunteer Fire Department in 1990 and remains active on their Board of Directors. After receiving his degree from Auburn University in Human Resource Management he has spent most of his professional career in Public Safety Sales and Emergency Services. Most recently, he served as the Emergency Management Division Chief for Bay County Emergency Services in Panama City, Florida for 10 years where he was responsible for Emergency Management and Communications. Joby is the current Mobile LATA representative for the Alabama Chapter of the National Emergency Number Association (NENA). He is the proud father of 2 daughters, Lauren and Katy and 1 son, Landon.
