Business Customer Line Count Totals
Pursuant to Section 11-98-5 Ala. Code, 1975, as amended, the Alabama Statewide 9-1-1 Board is now required to establish a maximum number of wireline 9-1-1 charges to be imposed at a single subscriber location for bills rendered on or after January 1, 2015. In order to do so, the Board needs an accurate count of connections currently being assessed the monthly 9-1-1 service charge, particularly business accounts with multiple connections assessed. A monthly statewide 9-1-1 service charge is imposed and collected on each active voice communications service connection in Alabama that is technically capable of accessing a 9-1-1 system as prescribed by Section 11-98-5 Ala. Code, 1975, as amended and Administrative Rule 585-X-4-.01 adopted by the Board.
